How to Reserve a Puppy

  • The Process

    The process to reserve your puppy is simple and secure. First, please read this page in its entirety, then fill out the application below. We will look over your application and make sure you are a fit for our program. Once we have approved your application, we will then send you a contract and a link to pay the holding fee credit of $400. This will secure you the next available spot on our waitlist or a puppy, if one is available now.

    If you are on our waitlist, we are very good at giving you an accurate time frame for the puppy you are requesting. Our waitlist is a rolling list that encompasses all of our litters. Meaning that being on our waitlist is not limited to just one particular litter. As puppies are selected your number on the waitlist continues to roll up. Once it is your turn to pick, you will have a choice of the current puppies that are available or you can wait until the litter of your choice.

    When puppies are born, they are posted on our litter update page. There you will find the birth announcements with quantities, sex, color, size, photos, videos and general litter information.

  • Payment, AKC & Colors

    There is a $400, non-refundable, holding fee credit to be put on our waitlist or to reserve a puppy. Your holding fee credit will be deducted from your total purchase price. For your convenience, you may pay your holding fee using several methods but we do prefer Venmo. We also accept Zelle or Paypal. The balance will be due when you pick up your puppy after weaning at eight weeks old.

    AKC REGISTRATION

    Your puppy will come with limited AKC registration. This is a certificate from the American Kennel Club showing that your puppy comes from registered parents. This also gives you the ability to show your dog and participate in AKC events. Full registration, which allows you to breed your dog, is only available upon approval through Team Reeves Ranch. Contact us for further information.

    Border Collie Colors

    Border collies come in a wide variety of colors. We take the highest quality genetics and temperament when breeding any color of dog.

  • Delivery & Ears

    Your puppy can be shipped with a flight nanny in the main cabin of the plane for approximately $1,500. We also offer continental door to door personal service for approximately $2,200. Anywhere within California or Nevada, including Sacramento, Fresno or San Francisco airports is $1.90 per mile. Our delivery location for Southern California is the Petco in Glendale. If you are picking up in central California, we offer a free pickup location at American Pet Hospital in Modesto, CA. Pickup at the ranch is possible, but it is highly discouraged as contagious transmitted diseases, such as parvo, put our litters at risk for contamination. No outside dogs are allowed at our ranch.

    Ear Setting

    We offer ear setting for your puppy. This is a non surgical, humane way of gluing the puppy’s ears to set them in a specified manner. The ears are set at 7 weeks old and stay on for approximately 60 days. The AKC breed standard is tipped ears but we can set them to be pricked as well. It is also your choice to leave them natural to determine their own outcome. This procedure is not a guarantee that they will stay “set” but in most cases they do.
