We are located in Mariposa, California just outside of beautiful Yosemite National Park. Our ranch is nestled on 23 acres with huge pine trees and nature everywhere you look.  This setting allows our dogs to thrive as a part of our family and a vital part of our ranch.  We live harmoniously with nature and not only have a passion for breeding top quality animals, but we also host meditation personal growth retreats at our ranch. We have been competing and breeding horses, cattle and dogs for over 30 years. Our Border Collies are bred for stock, agility, AKC conformation show, obedience, service, therapy, and most importantly amazing companions for active family homes. Many of our dogs have their Championship in AKC Conformation or their Grand Championships. Proving the beauty, structure and temperament of our dogs at a national level. We use a Zen approach when training and working with all of our dogs and puppies. We produce highly intelligent, low/medium drive puppies that are genetically sound, are easier to train and, not to mention, beautiful! The energy of our dogs is very special as we have bred our dogs to have less hyper focused “drive”. Border Collies are ranked into three different categories based on their “drive” and energy level to hyper focus and herd. This being high, medium and low. Low drive dogs are calmer and show little interest in herding. They are still very active, but it is easier to manage their energy. Medium drive dogs are food or toy driven for hyper focus but have a great off switch when it is time to relax. High drive dogs require constant stimulation and must be with livestock or have on going mental challenging activates like herding, advanced trick or obstacle training. These dogs are on continuous hyper focus mode and have a harder time settling in a relaxed family atmosphere. Our dogs are all low to medium drive, making them excellent dogs for active family homes or for those that have never owned a Border Collie before or are looking for a more mellow energy Border Collie. If you are active in sports like hiking, riding bikes or running with your dog, then one of our puppies might be right for you!

Puppy personalities cannot be predicted, no matter what testing or observation is done. For this reason, our puppies are selected early on. The major factor for a dog’s personality is its owner’s energy and the molding that puppy has had from the day it was born. Our puppies undergo extensive training and daily exercises from the day of birth using the world-renowned Puppy Couture neurological training techniques, ENS, and a Zen puppy training approach that we have created. These training sessions are what gives our puppies the very best start in life and the ability to adapt and grow into healthy, well-balanced adults. In addition, our puppies go home with two weeks of crate training, 4 weeks of potty training, beginning obedience, obstacle course, Zen training and extensive desensitizing. With Zen training, we teach our puppies how to use their intuition so they can discern if you need boisterous, joyful energy from them or a calm, nonjudgmental presence. This type of training teaches the puppy to think before reacting and to know its energy differences and how to act accordingly. We also openly communicate with our dogs based upon a fine blend of trust and respect while providing calm, loving, patient, structured and confident leadership. An outpouring of love and a Zen approach is the foundation for not only our dogs but all dynamics of our ranch.

We strive to provide you with a wonderful journey of the entire experience of your puppy’s life from conception to the day your puppy goes home with you. Once you are on our waitlist you will have access to our Litter Update page where videos and photos are uploaded bi-weekly. We share with you the journey of all our puppies that includes planned litter announcements, pregnancy ultrasounds, labor and deliveries, professional puppy photos, puppy play times, feeding times, neurodevelopmental exercises, puppy preschool, Zen sessions, veterinarian check-ups and animal/human interactions. We want you to enjoy this process as much as we do and for you to build a loving bond with your puppy well before you ever meet. We also offer LIFETIME support for every one of our puppies.
